Recruitment Policy

All regular non-academic position vacancies are advertised (posted) in "Job Opportunities" for a minimum of five (5) working days. In order to ensure promotional opportunities for present employees, no job offer will be extended to any candidate prior to five (5) working days from the initial date of posting.

All recruitment activities must be consistent with the University's commitment to the principle of equal employment opportunity.

To maintain this commitment, the University requires that all full-time, part-time and certain temporary positions be requisitioned and posted for at least five (5) working days. Some positions may require longer minimum posting periods.

If an internal candidate exists, under certain conditions the posting requirement may be waived. Otherwise, the position will be posted in the "Job Opportunities".
